The Coffee Academics Nespresso Capsules

In Summary - Different stroke for different folks

My initial expectation was more intense taste like Nespresso Barista edition. It turned out to be exactly opposite. Compared to Nepresso variant, TCA capsule tastes noticeably different for its very light texture. As the brand claims, the taste note leans toward floral side.

Texture is what you notice immediately. It is far from syrupy texture at all. If you don't drink shots, this is perfectly fine. Taste is very light and acidity is mild yet noticeable. Overall, the taste is more like drip coffee. If you make a long coffee out of it, it taste more like drip coffee with pleasant crispiness and floral aroma.

Yes, it does have Crema if you are curious

Lastly, capsule compatibility with Nespresso machine seems to be ok. I ran about a dozen capsule and the machine seems to cope well with the machine so far. Some of Mark & Spencer branded capsules make the machine really struggling.

Made in Australia and capsule are biodegradable

One of the capsules had a broken seal. Hence, coffee dust in the box.

This is what it looks like after extraction

Seal seems like spunmelt nonwoven fabric
